Under the slogan «The network grows. We grow wiser with the Net», representatives of the 200,000 telecentres worldwide have reported on the remarkable impact these centres have on digital literacy, continuous technological transformation and on production patterns, access to the information society and on paradigm shifts proposed by the European Digital Agency.
That is why one of the main topics in the conference has been raising awareness of the impact telecentres exert not only in Spain but also in Europe and Latin America. To this aim, the conference has hosted an exhibition attended by such relevant personalities as Daniel Torres, Director of the National Telecommunications and Information Society, and Fernando Ferrer, President of the Dedalus Foundation, who have provided an overview of the current situation of telecentres.
